THE SCHOOL SIGN ON J
A photo in front of the Sacramento State school sign is almost a must for graduates. CSUS has 3 main school signs. Two are located on the corner of J street and State University Dr. This location can be pretty busy during the spring.
THE SCHOOL SIGN ON COLLEGE TOWN
Besides the school signs on J street, there is also a school sign on the corner of College Town Dr and State University Dr. This location is easier to access than the ones on J street. Parking lot 7 is right behind it, where you can easily park. But if the lot is full, cars can be seen in the background. This location is best to photograph in April, when the flowers typically blossom.
THE TUNNEL
I love shooting at the tunnel. It’s a short walk from the school sign on J street, which makes for a great second location. The black look of the background provides great contrast and helps prioritize the grad in the photos. There is low foot traffic in this area, besides an occasional biker or two.
