Meet the Graduate
Meet Victoria, a Communications major, graduating from San Jose State University class of 2021! Victoria is originally from Chino Hills, a city located in the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County, California. When asked why she decided to attend SJSU, Victoria replied “I chose San Jose State after earning a softball scholarship. My favorite memory while attending college was meeting new people & playing for the Spartan Softball team. I also enjoyed attending football games.”

What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?
“My favorite thing to do in the summer is travel, and enjoy the sun and much as I can.”
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
“Passionate, loving, & unforgettable.”
Why did you decide to take graduation photos?
“My grad photos represent a special moment in my life that I will cherish forever & can forever reminisce on.”
What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your life?
“One goal I’d want to accomplish in my life is to make a forever lasting impression on whoever I meet. If I could somehow impact just 1 persons life, that would mean everything to me.”
What’s something my readers would be surprised to learn about you?
“That I enjoy the little things in life. I simply enjoy the beautiful things this world has to offer. Sunsets, sunrises, the beach, the woods, and many more, are fascinating to me:)”
The Shoot
Located in downtown San Jose, the SJSU campus lives at the heart of Silicon Valley. Often referred to as a commuter school, it is very common to meet people from all parts of California as well as different parts of the world who come to earn a degree here.
When photographing SJSU Grad Photos, it’s a must to shoot at least one photo in front of the centerpiece of the university; Tower Hall. The steps in front of the tower tend to get very occupied during grad season. Luckily, there are many different parts of the main quad where you can take photos and still capture the beautiful tower in the background.
During our shoot with Victoria, we also shot some photos outside the student center. The “glass wall”, as most students refer to it, has quickly become a grad favorite for photos. There is something powerful about seeing your reflection on the mirror-like wall as you put on your cap and gown. In addition, you can always count on the 7th street plaza for nice creative photos with its beautiful palm trees and clear blue skies creating poster like images.
